If you find you are ineligible or that our program is not for you, our Resource page has a list of other shelters that may fit your needs. Below is an outline of our application process.
- Download our Housing Application and fill it out COMPLETELY.
- Download our Conditions of Occupancy of Occupancy to see if Arbor House’s program is right for you.
- Return the application as soon as possible (fax: 352.371.2229 or mail to PO Box 12363 Gainesville FL 32604 or email to miriame@arborhouse.org)
- If eligible, you will be placed on a waiting list.
- When there is availability, you will be contacted for an interview, screening, and a visit to Arbor House.
- If everything goes well, we will do background checks and contact your references.
We cannot tell you how long this process will take but it is not unusual for an applicant to wait several weeks for housing. We ask that potential residents do not visit Arbor House unless you have an appointment with staff. If you have any questions, call us at 352.371.2229. Thank you!
