• Must be homeless
  • 18 or older.
  • Must be willing to attend morning classes, work part-time in Cottage Industries, work with a tutor, and live according to the guidelines of community life
  • New Beginnings: program time span is 4-6 months or 6 weeks after delivery
  • New Beginnings: must be pregnant with no other children in mom’s care
  • Mom’s Place: program time span is three-four years
  • Mom’s Place: 1 child (under 6yrs old) in mom’s care
  • Must be dedicated to pursuing long term goals that lead to self-sufficiency
  • Must be willing to live by community guidelines

Arbor House cannot accept women:

  • Looking for only emergency or temporary housing
  • With a severe mental health diagnosis
  • With recent or severe alcohol or drug problems
  • With a history of violent behavior
  • From out of state
